THE POSITION
We’re looking for an electronics engineer with industry design experience who can demonstrate initiative, a passion to develop great products and a willingness to ‘get stuck in’.
As an engineer in our multidisciplinary team, your role will cover the full project life-cycle from initial feasibility studies and bench tests, requirements capture, design, test, verification and eventual release to production.
No two projects are the same and our expertise attracts a wide range of clients, so you’ll benefit from working with a variety of technologies and our small, dynamic team means each employee adopts a crucial role in the growth of our business.
Your responsibilities will include liaising directly with clients, designing and documenting hardware system architectures and specifications, designing and capturing circuit schematics, selecting components, laying out PCBs and building and testing prototypes.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience in schematic entry & PCB layout (OrCAD preferred)
- Experience in embedded electronics design
- Knowledge of microcontroller design, STM32, ESP32, and associated interfaces
- Practical experience of implementing designs incorporating I2C, SPI, USB, CAN, Ethernet interfaces
- Practical skills – prototyping, fault-finding, utilisation of test equipment and soldering at PCB level
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to write clear technical documentation
- History of working in industry and developing electronic based products
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Experience in developing and debugging embedded firmware, C, C++, RTOS
- Any Linux/python based development
- Raspberry Pi/similar SBC experience
- Experience with mechanical CAD based packages such as Fusion/Solidworks

THE LOCATION
CircuitWorx is based in the beautiful Test Valley countryside, halfway between Salisbury and Southampton, within commuting range of Andover and Winchester.
