CircuitWorx engineers swapped our microchips and soldering irons for baked beans and shopping baskets last week as we spent an afternoon volunteering at Salisbury Foodbank.
Founded by local charity The Trussell Trust – who run a network of over 400 foodbanks across the UK – the Foodbank provides boxes of emergency food and support to people in crisis.
We took up the challenge of seeing how many food parcels we could assemble, selecting the list of specified food items from the well-organised warehouse shelves and packing them into carefully labelled boxes. We are proud to say the CircuitWorx team managed a grand total of 30 boxes, with Rob’s practical and spatial visualisation skills making him the fastest box-packer by far!
It was a great opportunity for us to learn more about the Trussell Trust and the life-changing work the Foodbank is doing and we are really pleased that CircuitWorx could help our local community in this way.
